Book My Boat has launched a Shareholder Referral scheme whereby valued shareholders are entitled to a referral fee for the successful introduction of a boat owner that purchases a Commercial Registration Package and lists their boat for hire on the Book My Boat marketplace.

The Shareholder Referral Scheme provides shareholders with an opportunity to generate some immediate return on their investment in Book My Boat whilst also helping to expediate the business growth to maximize its potential. ​

For every successful referral of a boat owner who purchases the Commercial Registration Package, Book My Boat will award the shareholder with a $150 visa gift card to be used at any outlet that accepts VISA cards around the world.

What type of boat is eligible for a
Commercial Registration Package?

96% of recreationally registered boats in Australia are eligible for the survey exemptions for Hire & Drive operations. The following criteria should be reviewed when considering if a boat is suitable. If the answer is YES to all 3 of these questions then the boat is most likely suitable for Hire & Drive commercial registration.

Is the boat <12m in length?

2. Boat Engine

Is the boat powered by an outboard engine or a Diesel engine? Inboard petrol engines do not comply with the survey exemption requirements

3. Builders Plate

3. Does the boat have an Australian Builders Plate attached to it?

Benefits of Commercial Registration for Boat Owners

Cheaper than Commercial Registration

Cheaper than recreational registration at just $412 for the initial 5 year term. Following 5 year terms are just $200 (subject to prices at the time of renewal)

Your boat becomes a commercial asset

Turns the boat into a commercial asset. Similar to a company car. This creates proportionate tax deductions for the boat owner.

Generate an income

Creates an opportunity to generate an income from an under-utilised boat.
